A Pin-hole Camera

A pinhole camera is a very simple camera with no lens and a single very small aperture. Simply explained, it is a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. Cameras using small apertures, and the human eye in bright light both act like a pinhole camera.

This is a pin-hole photo of the college atrium. This is the product after 5 minutes of exposure. Im happy with the detail in the photo as i didnt think it would be this good.

Portrait Photo

This is a portrait pin-hole photo of another studentl. These photos are harder than any other type as the model must sit as still as they can for a certain amount of time otherwise the photo will not come out to a high standard.

This is the first image i took with a pinhole camera. Its been edited on photoshop but the right hand side of the photo is quite distorted still. If i was take this photo again i would increase the exposure time by 3-4 minutes.
